THIS SITE IS OBVIOUSLY GOING TO DIE IF I DON'T POST THIS
SO
...we need to do something |:
I could bring some more people back. ;A; We could redo that Dancing With the Nations thing we did sometime last year, maybe with more routines and dresses and epicness. Because for some reason I felt really awkward doing romance-ish stuff (what with the England/Japan elements in that) and just made it...two people who are relatively fond of each other forced to do extremely awkward things.
That, or we could maybe continue the R&J plot, or do another thing based off a play. Like Twelfth Night, my personal favorite. Oh oh oh or Much Ado About Nothing, because there are both happy pairings and hate/tsundere-ish pairings.
Anyway, I'm rambling. Off to get some pizza.

Oh, God, yes. I can't think of an onomatopoeia to express the facepalm/headdesking of my laziness.
If we do another play, I think we should stick to the plot, but use modern-day language. The Shakespearean stuff is definitely pretty, and it requires actual usage of brain cells (!), but it seems a bit lot out of character and it's almost restrictive to roleplay. :/

S'quite all right; I've been relatively lazy busy as of late.
Yes. Now it is a matter of which one we shall do. :U I think Twelfth Night would be fun, along with Much Ado About Nothing. Though I can't decide who would be Viola, or Viola's equivalent; for some reason, I want to say Hungary, but that doesn't make much sense in my brain.
Or or or A Midsummer Night's Dream. There are like...four different pairings possible for that one. And the mechanicals~! I'm almost afraid there aren't enough characters in APH for that play.
Now I'm rambling, but the fairy thing reminds me of England; he could easily be Oberon. I want to say Japan should be Titania but I don't know if that would work according to his personality. :U

I have a feeling that it's going to end up being Midsummer Night's, but I really liked Much Ado and have not read Twelfth Night. A comedy will be a lot of fun, as the comedy genre implies...</obvious>
Yes, Japan doesn't seem like Titania material, but I don't know who else there would be to take the part. It would be a shame to have England be anyone but King of the Fairies. I can see Austria as Theseus, y'know, with that whole royalty thing.

This will be epic. :U I am aware that you're leaving on Sunday, but I'm gonna be busy until pretty much Friday 'cause of musical theater camp.
Since I don't really ship England with anyone else, I don't know who else would work. And Hippolyta kind of reminds me of Hungary, anyway, because of her personality.
Prussia/Canada for Demetrius and Helena, right? Aaaand I want to say Liet and Poland could be Hermia and Lysander, though I'd have to do a lot of modification to the latter character's personality. "Like, the course of true love, like, totally never ran, like, smooth." /shotsohard

Ah, I'm not leaving anywhere, although band camp starts Monday and that's six hours of the day gone.
De facto Titania, then?
Depends: if Prussia is Bottom then he can't be Demetrius too, but he would fit in either role. If he were Bottom, Canada could be Flute. Hrm. Lysander!Poland: Yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes, ja, ano, da, etc.

Ja.
Ohhh god, the choices. Albania could be a halfway decent Bottom, just because he's kind of an ass, but it would not be as awesome as Prussia and I have no idea who could be Flute after that.

Is this accurate so far? Somehow I think Russia could be Egeus, just because he wants Liet to be miserable with Prussia. (Granted, Russia would really want Liet to be with him, but that would be the second best thing, da?)

Sounds good, da. So now all we need to do is figure out the fairies and the rest of the mechanicals, right?

Snout seems kind of Baltic...Latvia, perhaps? Starveling gets mocked by Hippolyta, so perhaps he should be someone Hungary doesn't like (there are a few countries that fit that part; Slovakia and Romania come to mind). I'm not sure about Snug.

I can see Slovakia as Starveling. o3o Snug is apparently the slow one of the group, so I would say someone like Greece be him. And yes, Latvia would be good as Snout.
Umm, and that would leave us with the fairies. They're not very important characters, necessarily, or at least not what I can remember of them, so we could possibly defenestrate them cut them out.

Ahaha, yes, they're really trivial characters. If we realize that they're necessary we can always do some spur-of-the moment casting. I updated the chart.
Is there anything else that needs to be taken care of? There is: who roleplays who?

I figure I can taaake...Greece, Russia, and Latvia, unless you want any of those. I know I will totally murder Italy if I take him, but if you feel the same way I can prolly give him a try. :U
I think the only thing they're important for is the first or second (I can't remember) scene with Puck, which basically explains why Oberon and Titania are getting at each other. We could assume that Feliciano already knows about this--wait, no, I think that was just elaboration for the audience. Oh, Shakespeare, how you confuse me. OTL

Okay, I can take Italy. I like roleplaying him; he's so exuberant. xD
Aaaagh, oh, Billy. I don't think it matters because we already know what's going on and so does everyone else--and if not, we can pretend.
